Pacamara is also a single variety, just not as new or scarce as the Bernardina. For those of you who may not know, it is actually a hybrid of the Pacas and Maragogype varieties. Pacas, a dwarf Bourbon, is known for its clean and bright cup and high yield while Maragogype, a naturally mutated Typica, is known for its potent aromatics (not to mention insanely large bean size), but weaker cup quality. When the two are combined, something pretty magical happens: Pacamara.
