He calls himself the dread man, and we get to call him one of our #HumansOfCartel. Get to know him at our Palm Springs shop or read about Jeffrey Hernandez with a few questions we asked him.

What brought you to Cartel?

The world dude. But also a team of highly specialized individuals and a beautiful life. My wife and I decided to try a different coffee shop and then I realized I had to be part of the cartel family.

What's your perspective on Cartel, your community, and the industry as a whole?

Collaboration is such a powerful tool which I don’t think all companies strive for. I think it shows how well it works. Seeing other coffee vendors in the industry as not enemies but simply different purveyors has allowed me to consider Cartels local interaction and it’s connection to the global coffee community which is constantly changing and growing.

What is your favorite thing about your job?

The people.

What are your aspirations for the future?

Continue creating excellent food and drink, create sounds that inspire people to dance and live more full lives through music, see the world, stay vegan.

What is your favorite beverage?

Spro bro.

Go visit all of the good folks at our Palm Springs location and talk to Jeffrey about life, music, and the way he sees the world.
