Cartel introduces New Kenya: Weithaga
Kenya has established a reputation for producing some phenomenally clean, juicy, and fruit-forward coffees in recent years. Washed Kenyas, like this Weithaga, get their characteristic acid profile in part from an extra freshwater soak the beans undergo during processing.
This beautiful example consists of SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11, and Batian varieties grown between 1700 and 1900 meters above sea level in the Kahuro district.
We taste: blood orange, black currant, and clove.
